Jail Volunteers

The Cumberland County Jail is fortunate to serve a community that cares. There are 11 organizations that participate on a regular basis helping inmates improve their outlook, become more centered, and helping to reduce recidivism.

Volunteers
There are over 75 volunteers that staff the programs offered at the jail. The volunteers must commit to specialized education ensuring they can meet the needs of the population at the jail. As well they must be willing to dedicate their personal time to the programs, with many volunteers visiting the jail on a weekly basis.

If you would like to help, or have questions about the volunteer programs at the jail, please email Reverend Jeffrey McIlwain or email Nicola Cox.
