5-K Fugitive Run
Each year the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office hosts the 5-K Fugitive Run to promote community involvement, and to raise money for local charitable organizations. Rapidly becoming a "must race" for runners from miles around, the race features a Sheriff's Cup for the winning public safety agency, Fugitive Trophies for the top two finishers in eight different age categories, and a cash prize to the overall male and female race winners. As well, runners that capture the fugitive by finishing the race before the fugitive, receive a special prize, and a special commendation from the Sheriff. There is a free Kids Fun Run, and the Fugitive Run is open to walkers.
The 2014 Fugitive Run will be held on April 26, 2014 at 10:00 am. Contact Lt. Donald Foss for more details, and keep a regular watch on our facebook page for race updates (Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Maine).
