Cumberland County Youth Athletics Programs
he Cumberland County Sheriff's Office typically conducts a fundraiser every year in order to assist local schools and other youth sports teams in Cumberland County with purchasing sports equipment, funding for travel for competitions and upgrading sports complexes. This program was initiated in 2001, and has raised over $45,000 for various organizations in the community. Upon receiving a request for financial assistance, Sheriff Dion asks the team to participate in a community service event or provide some assistance to our elderly population in return for the monetary donation.
