The Work Release program is designed to improve the likelihood of successful re-entry into the community, by providing the opportunity to make a gradual adjustment from confinement to a free society.
This program, therefore, allows a resident to be employed or undergo schooling or training during the day or evening if approved. The benefits derived from this program are: allowing a resident to contribute to his or her own support and to the support of his or her dependents; and establishing employment prior to release and easing the shock of an abrupt return to the community.
Any offender authorized immediate work release by the Sheriff.
After the resident has been approved by the Classification Committee.
Any resident who displays a willingness to abide by all the rules and regulations of the jail may be eligible.
