Chaplain

The Cumberland County Jail has a part-time chaplain - Reverend Jeffrey McIlwain. He supervises all religious programs at the jail. Any religious organization that desires to participate in delivering religious programs at the jail must contact and obtain approval from the Chaplain. Rev. McIlwain is affiliated with the A.M.E. Zion church.

Every aspect of the Religious programs is geared to help those that are looking for a way to change their life. The focus is consistent in encouraging inmates to take control of their life and to be accountable for their actions.
