The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard was established in 1992 by Sheriff Wesley Ridlon. The Guard exemplifies the highest standards and professionalism that the department requires of its employees. To be an Honor Guard takes hours of personal commitment. They represent the Office of the Sheriff and “Post the Colors” honoring fallen members of the law enforcement community. As well they are asked to Post the Colors at funerals, inaugurations, oaths of office, parades, and sporting events.
