Sheriff's Award –

Captain Goulet continuously steps up to the plate and supports the mission of the CCSO with whatever project may need accomplished. He organized and relocated all of the CCSO files, and he took over as Patrol Captain when a the position became vacant while still leading the Criminal Investigation Division. |
Chief Deputy's Award –
|
Detective Cook committed 10 weeks away from his family to attend a forensic specialty school in Tennessee. Because of his commitment to the mission of the CCSO, we house one of the best trained forensic specialists in the State of Maine. This enables the CCSO to better serve the citizens of Cumberland County. |
Lt. Charles Elliott Award -
|
Sergeant David Hall displayed a great amount of courage while attempting to preserve life and capture the shooter at a call that left 2 people dead, and four children without a mother. |
Patrol Supervisor of the Year – Sergeant James Ambrose
|
New this year as a Supervisor, Sergeant Ambrose hit the ground running. He was assigned to the late shift, and has excelled. He is able to balance the demands of his job with the requirements of his home life yielding quality results for both. |
Patrol Deputy of the Year –
|
Deputy Thompson is a consummate professional. The CCSO can always count on him to maintain a high level of production on the streets and volunteer to help in times of need. Deputy Thompson commitment to the mission of the CCSO is evident in every aspect of his work. |
Traffic Safety Award –
|
Deputy Feeney has won this award two years in a row. We are proud of his strong commitment to the road Safety of the Citizens of Cumberland County. |
Investigative Award –
|
Deputy Emery was integral in solving the three bomb threats that plagued Bony Eagle High School in 2011. Her excellent investigation skills solved the cases, and restored a sense of safety at the school facility. |
Jail Awards |

Jail Supervisor of the Year – Sergeant Carl Hitchcock
|
Sergeant Hitchcock has been a self-starter and innovative thinker at the jail. He works well in crisis situations being able to stay calm and apply reason to restore peace. |
Jail Deputy of the Year –
|
Deputy Adams has a strong commitment to his profession. He is an excellent investigator, committed to the agency, and uses the skills he learned at the academy to enhance business at the jail. |
Civilian of the Year –
|
Ms. Cox's commitment to the mission of the CCSO has been evident through her tenure at the CCSO. Her attention to detail, and professionalism in both her appearance, and in the workings of the jail lobby keeps business running in an orderly, and copacetic manner. |
