Responsibilities
All persons being brought into the Cumberland County jail are processed through the Intake Department. Here they are booked, classified, medically screened, and evaluated for special needs, or security issues.
Finding an Inmate
To determine if someone you know has been booked into the Cumberland County Jail you may do one of the following:
- Visit the Weekly Media Arrest Log page online. This is a list of people who were processed through Cumberland County Jail for the prior week.
- Contact the Cumberland County Jail at 207-774-5939, ext. 2180 between 7:15 a.m. and 11 p.m.
- Due to the high volume of calls received, it may be difficult to get through. Please leave a message and your call will be answered as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience - it is greatly appreciated.
