Security Threat

Responsibilities

The Security Threat Group (STG) is committed to the safety and security of not just the Cumberland County Jail, but the community as a whole through identifying, monitoring, and investigating inmates that are affiliated with foreign or domestic security threat groups. The STG works with other law enforcement agencies in sharing information used to predict and forecast behaviors of security threat groups in an effort to mitigate the risks of such groups within the state of Maine.

The STG works within the jail managing disruptive behavior of STG members, and works to alleviate conflicts resulting from rival security threat group members incarcerated simultaneously.
