On 08-20-21 at 0038 hrs. the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office along with New Gloucester Fire Department and Gray Fire Department were called to 289 Bennett Rd for a single motor vehicle crash into a tree. A passerby spotted the vehicle and call Dispatch. It is unknown what time the crash happened as none of the residents in the neighborhood were awakened by the crash. The vehicle involved was a black Toyota Tundra pickup driven by Jason Mcvey age 25 of Gray. The driver was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated. The extrication took over an hour to get him out. Mr. Mcvey was transported to CMMC with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
