MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH:

            On the above date and time, Deputies along with Rescue units from Standish, Gorham, Buxton and Hollis responded for a motor vehicle crash at the above stated location with 5 people reported injured. Upon investigating, it was found the vehicle (a 2011 Dodge Caliber) was traveling south on the Bonny Eagle Road.  The vehicle had gone off the right shoulder and then overcorrected, crossing the oncoming lane and going off the road striking a tree with the front driver’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was totaled as a result of the crash. The roads were slushy at the time of the crash. 

            The operator of the vehicle Erica Mathies (19) of Standish, was transported to Maine Medical Center with minor injuries. Three of the four passengers were transported to Maine Medical Center with minor injuries as well. 

Tristen Collins (21) of Bar Mills, front passenger, not wearing seat belt transported to Maine Medical Center for serious but non life threatening injuries. 

Alexis Petty (20) of Buxton, rear passenger, wearing a seat belt, not injured. 

Lee Meserve (19) of Buxton, rear passenger, not wearing a seat belt, transported for serious, but non life threatening injuries. 

Noah Hunter (18) of Buxton, rear passenger, not wearing a seat belt, transported for serious but non life threatening injuries. 

The crash remains under investigation, alcohol was a factor in the crash.
