[ARCHIVED] Commercial Vehicle Crash - Poland Spring Road

On June 2, 2020, at approximately 1550 hours, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Poland Spring Road and Spiller Road in Casco for a report of a dump truck that had overturned.  

It was determined that the 2015 Peterbuilt dump truck, owned by J. Pratt Construction, left the roadway right and rolled into the yard of 505 Poland Spring Road.  The operator, 40-year-old Jason Vento from Livermore, suffered serious but not-life threatening injuries.  Mr. Vento was transported to the hospital.

During the crash, the vehicle damage multiple utility poles in the area and traffic was diverted for a brief period.  

Assisting at the scene was Casco Fire/Rescue, Maine State Police and Maine Department of Transportation. 

Speed may be a factor in the crash.
