The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office has received multiple complaints concerning the theft(s) and damage of political signs at the intersection of Route 35 and 25 in Standish (Standish Corner). On 9/10/20 at approximately 1147 hours, Sheriff’s Deputies located 38-year-old Jason Brackett of Hiram, who was in possession of a political sign that had just been taken. 

Mr. Brackett was issued a citation by Sheriff’s Deputies for Theft by Unauthorized Taking or Transfer (Class E) and released. He is due to make his first court appearance in Bridgton District Court on 11/17/2020 at 0830 hours. 

Mr. Bracket is the third subject in recent weeks to be charged with either the Theft or Damage to a political sign in Standish.
