Incident:                     Disturbance – Assault – Multiple Arrest’s


     The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office assisted by the Windham Police Department, Gorham Police Department and the Maine State Police responded to a report of an ongoing disturbance at a home located at #2 Deerfield Circle in Standish. The disturbance involved the 57-year-old female homeowner and male tenant. 


     The tenant JOHN SICILIANI, 34 years old of Standish who is known to Police was wanted on an unrelated Felony Arrest Warrant. Siciliani has a significant Criminal History involving violence with weapons and assaults.  


     Upon arrival, two Sheriff’s Deputies were confronted with an ongoing assault and disturbance situation involving Siciliani. The female homeowner was, and had been assaulted by John Siciliani ultimately suffering only a minor injury. The Deputies forced entry to the home as the active assault was in progress to effect the arrest and stop the ongoing violence. During this attempted apprehension John Siciliani resisted arrest, assaulted one of the Deputies by Punching him in the face and fled out a window of the home. 


     A Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Team was deployed, tracked Siciliani and took him into custody a short distance from the home. During the apprehension the Sheriff’s Office deployed two Tasers and a K-9. Siciliani suffered no injury as a result of his apprehension. 


     At the time of this incident CHRISTOPHER WEBSTER, 41 years old of Standish was also in the home, retreated and locked himself in a bedroom of the home to avoid apprehension on a Felony Arrest Warrant. Webster was not involved directly in the initial disturbance. 


     The home was secured by Law Enforcement. After a short period of time Christopher Webster cooperated with Police, exited the home and surrendered without incident. 


The assaulted Deputy was treated at the scene by Standish Fire/EMS and released.

No Bail Allowed as a result of the Probation Revocation Warrant

  1. Domestic Violence Assault Class “C” Warrant
