Incident Synopsis:

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s through helpful tips from the Public and the efforts of Investigators

located the Stolen Truck from the series of crimes reported in the early morning hours in the Town of

Harrison on New Year’s Day.

As a result, the Stolen truck was recovered and the arrest of ANTHONY J. Redfield 34 years old of

Bridgton was made for Unauthorized Use of Property and Violation of Conditions of Release. Redfield is

being held at the Cumberland County Jail. Booking photo of Redfield is attached.

The investigation into the series of crimes and events continues. During the course of the investigation a

Jayco Tow Behind Pop Up Camper was collected. The owner of the Camper is unknown at this time. Images

of the camper are attached. The Sheriff’s Office is asking again for the public’s help in identifying the owner

of the Camper. Anyone with information relative to the Camper is asked to contact the Cumberland County

On Friday 1/1/2021 at approximately 4:51 am a homeowner on Plains Road in Harrison reported that a male

subject attempted to take his ATV out of his garage. The homeowner confronted the male who fled on foot.

Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area and a Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit was deployed to attempt to track the

suspect.

At approximately 7:00 am, a homeowner on Bolster’s Mills Road reported a male suspect had attempted to

steal a generator from his yard. A short time later another homeowner reported the theft of his red 2008 GMC

Sierra pickup truck. At/ about this same time, the clerk at Bolster’s Mill’s Country Store (just over the county

line in Otisfield) reported a male came into the store, stole an item and left in the stolen truck on Jess Mill

Road in Otisfield.

A Deputy later located the vehicle in Harrison and the suspect failed to stop when signaled. The pursuit was

terminated near the intersection of Maple Ridge Road and Edes Falls Road. The stolen truck continued

toward Naples.

A picture of the suspect is attached. The stolen truck is described as a red 2008 GMC Sierra bearing Maine

passenger car registration 1555VU. It has a toolbox in the back.
