[ARCHIVED] Raymond Crash 1-6-2021

Raymond Crash 01-06-21

Incident Date:    01/06/2021

Incident Time:  9:23 pm

Incident Location: Rte. 302 Raymond Maine

Release Date:  01/07/2021

Release Time: 9:30 am

On 01/06/2021 at 9:23 pm, the Cumberland County Dispatch Center took a report of a two vehicle crash on Rte. 302 in Raymond, just west of the Raymond Fire Station. Deputies were on scene quickly and found both vehicles had gone off the road and had totaling damage.  Upon investigation it was determined that Quincey Lyden (18) years of age from Westbrook was operating a 2007 Infinity, traveling eastbound. Lyden crossed the center line and struck Jeffrey Richards (75) of Bridgton, who was traveling westbound, operating a 2017 GMC Terrain. Raymond Fire and Rescue responded and treated Ms. Lyden and Mr. Richards for minor injuries.

As a result of the investigation Quincey Lyden was charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol. The State of Maine has a ZERO Tolerance law for drivers under the age of 21 consuming alcohol. In this case Lyden’s results were greater than a .08% BR.AC., and she would have been charged even if she had attained 21 years of age. Lyden will have to appear in Bridgton District Court in February.

There is no mug shot of Ms. Lyden available.
