On 03/08/2021 at 12:44 PM, the Cumberland County Regional Dispatch Center took a 911 emergency call for a vehicle traveling eastbound on Roosevelt Trail in Raymond that was crossing into oncoming traffic and operating erratically. While Sheriff Office Deputies were responding to attempt to stop the vehicle, the caller reported it had just struck a 2011 Ford Ranger at the intersection of Roosevelt Trail and Main Street in Raymond. The vehicle then continued through the parking lot of Jordan Bay Marine before striking a parked tractor-trailer truck. The vehicle operating erratically came to rest in a nearby residential yard. 

Erica Avery (42) of Casco, Maine was operating the red 2012 Nissan Sentra that sustained serious front-end damage in the crash. Raymond Fire and EMS responded to the crash and determined that Avery was having a medical emergency. Neither of the operators in the other vehicles were injured. The Raymond Fire and Rescue responded to the scene to assist with the crash. Avery had minor injuries associated with the crash.
