On the above date and time, Deputies from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, along with New Gloucester Fire and the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Unit responded to a report of a tractor-trailer rollover. It was initially reported that the female operator was entrapped in the vehicle. She was eventually able to free herself. The cylinder-type trailer was carrying approximately 9000 gallons of LP Fuel. The trailer did not rupture or leak as a result of the crash. The road will be closed for several hours while the fuel is removed from the cylinder and the trailer is turned back over.
The trailer and truck are registered to and owned by LP Transportation Company of Chester, New York. The 2017 Freightliner was operated by Valerie Farnham of Derry, New Hampshire. She was taken to Central Maine Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation.
