Incident Location: Chadbourne Road (Route 35) in the area of Middle Jam Road, Standish

On the above date/ time, the Sheriff’s Office responded to the intersection of Chadbourne Road (Route 35) in the area of Middle Jam Road, Standish for a single-vehicle crash. A tan 2002 tan Chevrolet S10 pickup truck was traveling south on Route 35 at a high rate of speed, exited the roadway, and struck a Sheriff’s Office digital speed sign trailer that was on the soft shoulder of the roadway. The operator of the truck, Bruce Fortney, 22 years old from Scarborough was not injured. 

The Sheriff’s Office would like to remind the public to obey the posted speed limits and focus on safe driving when traveling the Maine roadways.
