On July 19th, 2021 at approximately 5:30 PM, Casco Fire Department, along with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office, responded to Club Sebago Way in Casco for a male that had fallen off a golf cart and was injured.  

Passersby who were medically trained and Point Sebago Resort Security provided first aid until the ambulance arrived.   

Kyle Sheedy, 21 years old, of Danvers, Massachusetts was sitting on the rear of a golf cart, when he fell off, striking the pavement.  At the time of the incident, the golf cart was moving.  Mr. Sheedy sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the incident and was transported to Bridgton Hospital by ambulance.  Given the severity of his injuries, he was later flown to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston by Life Flight of Maine. 

This incident is being investigated by Point Sebago Resort, at this time there are no criminal charges and there are no further updates likely.
